Gara Roda is a passionate and versatile director, choreographer, and performer from Barcelona, now living and creating in New York City. Her artistic path has taken her across Europe and the U.S., where she's brought her talent and vision to a wide range of projects—from stage productions and music videos to runway shows and experimental performance pieces.

Trained in Musical Theatre, Gara also holds an MFA in Advanced Theatre Studies. She works fluidly across directing, choreographing, and translating, with years of experience as an associate director and choreographer. Her directorial debut, Ànima, premiered at the National Theatre of Catalonia to sold-out audiences and critical acclaim, marking an exciting new chapter in her career.

She is currently preparing an adaptation of The Welkin by Lucy Kirkwood, which will premiere at the National Theatre of Catalonia in 2026. She is also a co-owner and Artistic Director of MyssTic Rooms in Brooklyn.
